No more apples picking… The apples are not ripe enough and there will be one and half week break before the picking of another batch of apples. One and a half week without job means no pay and no money. Some more, without any vehicles to tour around, it is a huge disadvantage if we were to sit, do nothing and wait for a week. Therefore, we decided to move on to another place which will be back to Auckland. However, we did not seem to have secured a job before leaving, so the future is a bit grey for us. Worse come to worse, we just play and end our trip earlier. Hahaha…
We had decided to do Canyoning at Auckland first before going to look for a job, hopefully all is not that bad and there is something left for us to do. But we have enough of picking for the moment. The thing we do not like about picking here is that it is counted by contract which means that we sort of got to fight for the apples. This is why I always prefer job that is hourly counted, so that I don’t have to be so competitive. But I will definitely miss this place; I will miss the nice, apple or peach smell. Well, at least there will be no more bruises, cuts and uneven skin tones, etc…
After getting used to here, it is a bit pity that we got to leave. Moreover, we got to carry so many things with us. Initially we thought we are staying here for 3 months so we had brought a lot of barangs, barangs – the sauces, the food, the huge bottles of lotions, the washing powder. Now my bag is so full, not sure how many more things can go inside. Argh, let’s just see how my squeezing power to squeeze all these stuffs inside my bag.
Since we are leaving, so today we are busytaking photos of the orchard, the 400kg bins, with the manager, Ian, Zac (the dog, oh Zac lick me on the mouth yersterday, he must like me alot... hahahaha...) and all. My highest record for collecting is 4 bins in a day – jin tired lo. But now I a bit too nuah to pick so fast and these last few days is counted hourly, so just try my best to collect as many apples as possible.

wah.. the apple tree is so tall... is it scary to be on top of that ladder and trying to pick as many apples as possible??

zip lock bag not good enough... manage to pack everythimg in, now i know how to squeeze...
not recession... just that got seasons one... see if i can find a new job ba...
